Default Hero Bonder.... doesn't work.

Trying to get talkora to bond for me

tried, protective bond, life barrier, life bond. None seem to work. I even tried to have her bond herself, no go.

It shows no enchantments on either hers or my bar.

Is this a Bug or Anet nerf?

Heros automatically cancel maintained enchantments right after they cast them. Makes them use holy veil really well. This is not a bug or a nerf, this has been how maintained enchantments have ALWAYS worked since the creation of heros. What you have to do is shift-click on a maintained enchantment to disable it (so the hero won't automatically cancel it). You then can cast the bonds manuelly and then they will stay up.

Kinda inconvient I know, but it does allow for both Hero bonders to work, while at the same time allowing for builds that require cancelling maintained enchantments (aura of displacement and holy veil) from still sorta working.

Heroes cant maintain enchantments.

If you want them to you need to disable the skill and manually cast it yourself, you will also need to recast it each time its stripped.

Maybe ANet could improve the hero AI to better support maintained enchantments.

They only maintain it if it's worth maintaining it. If you're not under attack, what's the point of maintaining a bond?

And don't say from potential attacks until they can pre-prot.

Yep this is true, i've seen my monk throw Life Bond on me the moment i start taking damage. As the others have said, shift-click is the solution.

as said, they maintain the enchantments fine when the skills are disabled.

I always use Dunkoro to bond the Ghostly Hero when doing the Dunes of Despair Bonus by pinning him out of harms way. When the rest of the party is out of range of Dunkoro he will still use Blessed Signet to try to regain energy, but he gets no energy from using it. I would report this as a bug, but oddly it doesn't cause any problems because even when the hero is at 0 energy he still manages to maintain 6 enchantments. Go figure, 2 wrongs make a right.
